Catching up on some recent sports media news ... Bob Papa was officially installed Wednesday as the new play-by-play man for NFL Network's live game coverage. He replaces Bryant Gumbel and will team with analyst Cris Collinsworth ... Speaking of Collinsworth, he will return as a co-host of "Inside the NFL" when it moves this fall to Showtime, and will be teamed with newcomers James Brown and Phil Simms, both from sister network CBS ... CTV acquired the rights to "The Hockey Theme" in perpetuity after rights holder Copyright Music & Visuals was unable to renew a deal with CBC Sports. The song had been the theme for CBC's "Hockey Night in Canada" since 1968 ... Glenn Healy is leaving Canada's Rogers Sportsnet to work for the NHL Players' Association. The former goalie retired from the NHL after the 2000-01 season and spent the past three years as a television analyst.
