Awful Announcing posted a very interesting item this week about the results it obtained about a focus group in which the participants were asked to watch and evaluate ESPN's "SportsCenter" — specifically between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. — for a period of two weeks.
Of particular note were the comments about the anchors. Based on the findings, ESPN hit a grand slam by bringing in ex-CBS and NBC personality Hannah Storm, who was far and away the group's favorite. Josh Elliot, on the other hand, might want to get on the horn with his agent. According to AA's inside dope, the group voted unanimously for Elliot's head, calling him the "worst 'SportsCenter' anchor ever."
