"Baseball: A Film by Ken Burns" first aired as a nine-part series in 1994 on PBS. Now that the nascent MLB Network has brought the documentary back to television, the filmmaker is planning an additional installment to update the history of the National Pastime.
PBS said today it will rebroadcast the entire series in spring 2010 and include a new episode, titled "The Tenth Inning," that will take a look at baseball history from 1993-2008.
The original "Baseball" is currently airing at 8 p.m. ET Tuesdays on MLB Network.
